Meet Tameeka Law Walker, M.D.

Professionally, Dr. Law Walker is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician. She received a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech and went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from Mercer University. She served in the United States Navy after residency as a Medical Officer.  She then completed a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship and received a Master of Science in Clinical Research from the Medical University of South Carolina.  After serving time in the military, she received an honorable discharge at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. She moved back to Atlanta in 2013 and joined Georgia Perinatal Consultants where she is a partner in the practice.

 

Her expertise focuses on the medical and surgical management of high-risk pregnancies.  She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Her clinical interests include ultrasound, obstetrical procedures, fetal growth, and maternal health complications.  She was awarded as a Top Doctor of Atlanta every year since 2016 by nominations from colleagues and was chosen for the cover of the Atlanta Magazine 2017 Top Doctor issue.   


Civically, she is passionate about the well-being of women and children.  Dr. Law Walker is an active member of several community organizations.  She has served on the Board of Directors for the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., MECCA Chapter (NCBW) as Parliamentarian and 1st Vice President of Programs. In 2016, she received the MECCA Chapter Foresight Award for her demonstration of leadership and chapter spirit. She was honored in March 2020 with the Excellence in Health Award from the organization secondary to her significant contribution to healthcare in the Atlanta area.

 

She is humbled to have served as the past Chair of the Board of Directors for Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), as she shares the pain of witnessing domestic violence in her home as a child and has become an advocate to end domestic violence and empower survivors.  She is also a Board member of Voices of Georgia’s Children and supports the mission to advance laws, policies, and actions that improve children’s lives in the areas of health, family stability, juvenile justice, early childhood development, and after-school learning.  

She also devotes her time to the Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. (JLA) holding past leadership positions. Nominated by JLA, she was honored and featured in the June 2019 issue of Atlanta Magazine as a Woman a Mark in Atlanta for her professional expertise, community service, mentoring, and philanthropy.  She is an alumna of Leadership Atlanta Class of 2017.  She, her husband Ludlow, and their son Solomon share the love of traveling.

Complete Online Training

The first stage of your training covers the "soft skills" of golf and can be completed within 60 days at scheduled times. You can expect to get familiar with the rules, etiquette, and other nuances that come with golf. Upon completion of the first stage, you will be given a "Pre-Certification" exam to review what you learned.
